The challenge
Cashback campaigns create work on both sides of a transaction. Customers need a clear way to register a product, submit purchase evidence and understand the status of their claim. The business must then verify that information, approve valid requests and organize payments. Powerplus needed those steps to operate as one traceable process rather than a collection of forms, spreadsheets and manual bank actions.
Role and responsibility
As lead developer, David designed and built the customer-facing registration flow and the automation behind it. The work connected submitted purchase information with validation rules, Navision data and the Isabel payment process. It required attention to both the clarity of the customer journey and the operational controls needed before money could be returned.
Customer registration and status
The platform guided customers through product and purchase registration and captured the information required to assess a cashback claim. Once submitted, a claim retained a clear status so that customers could follow its progress. This reduced uncertainty and gave the back office structured data instead of incomplete information arriving through several channels.
The public flow and internal workflow used the same claim record, keeping communication connected to the actual stage of processing.
Validation and back-office workflow
A .NET backend and Microsoft SQL Server supported the claim lifecycle. Submitted data could be checked, reviewed and approved before payment. Navision integration connected the campaign process to the company’s established operational information, avoiding a separate source of truth for products and transactions.
Automation handled the repeatable transitions while leaving approval in the appropriate business workflow. This made exceptions visible without requiring every standard claim to be processed manually from beginning to end.
Automated payments through Isabel
Approved cashback amounts were prepared and processed through Isabel. Connecting the claim status to payment handling closed the gap between a business approval and the actual refund. The integration also made it possible to keep the customer-facing status aligned with the operational payment process instead of updating both independently.
Result
Powerplus gained an end-to-end cashback workflow covering registration, verification, approval, status tracking and payment. Customers received a clearer process, while the internal team had less repetitive administration and a more consistent flow of information. The combination of .NET, SQL, Navision and Isabel turned a campaign with many hand-offs into a connected operational service.
